The West End’s Victoria Palace Theatre is currently home to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s critically acclaimed musical, HAMILTON – the story of America then, as told by America now.
HAMILTON is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the very foundations of the America we know today. The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway.
Inspired by Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton, HAMILTON has book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and is directed by Thomas Kail. Choreography is by Andy Blankenbuehler with musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
Jay Perry plays Hamilton’s rival Aaron Burr, with Thomas Vernal in the role of George Washington and Daniel Boys playing King George. Completing the main cast are Jordan Benjamin as John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton, Lemuel Knights as the Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Jordan Castle as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison. Tony and Grammy Award-winner and Broadway’s original Aaron Burr, Leslie Odom, Jr. will reprise the role for a strictly limited nine-week summer season from 3 July – 5 September 2026 only.
One of the most highly acclaimed Broadway musicals, HAMILTON is the winner of 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical. HAMILTON has also received 7 Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
