Flamenco superstar Sara Baras makes a welcome return to London's Sadlers Wells Theatre with her latest intoxicating flamenco spectacle, Sombras.
Acclaimed for her charismatic stage presence and floor-pummelling footwork, Sara Baras draws on a dance thread that has woven its way through her career, as she celebrates the 20th anniversary of her company. La Farruca, with its dramatic fast footwork, is usually reserved for men.
Performing alongside six dancers and accompanied by seven musicians, Sara Baras, 'a woman who can dance up not just a flamenco storm, but a hurricane' (The Guardian), claims La Farruca as her own.
