  • The Young Vic production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA! is transferring to the West End's Wyndham's Theatre in February 2023.

Forget what you think it is… this is Rodgers & Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA! as you’ve never seen it before – re-orchestrated and reimagined for the 21st century.

OKLAHOMA! tells a story of a community banding together against an outsider, and the frontier life that shaped America.

In the state of Oklahoma, a love story is unfolding. Curly, a cowboy, has his heart set on marrying the woman he adores, Laurey. But Laurey has caught the eye of another, Jud Fry, and there's nothing he won't do to get what he wants.

Meanwhile Ado Annie has to choose between her existing engagement to a man who doesn't love her and the affections of another who desperately wants to marry her instead.

Winner of the Tony Award® for Best Musical Revival, Daniel Fish's bold interpretation, based on the original play Green Grow the Lilacs by Lynn Riggs, recently enjoyed a sold-out run at the Young Vic following sold-out runs in New York and across the U.S. on tour.

Eighty years after Rodgers & Hammerstein reinvented the American musical, this visionary production is funny and sexy, provocative and probing, without changing a word of the text.
