The Lieutenant Of Inishmore
Oh dear, it looks like you've missed it... We're sorry, but the booking period for this event has ended!

The Lieutenant Of Inishmore

Noel Coward Theatre, London, WC2N 4AU
  • The Michael Grandage Company presents a rare revival of Martin McDonagh's critically acclaimed, brilliant satire on terrorism, The Lieutenant of Inishmore.
Who knocked Mad Padraic’s cat over on a lonely road on the island of Inishmore and was it an accident? He’ll want to know when he gets back from a stint of torture and chip-shop bombing in Northern Ireland: he loves that cat more than life itself...
Stage and screen actor Aidan Turner (Poldark) plays Mad Padraic, a terrorist deemed too violent to be a member of the IRA, in this hilarious, acute observation of violence in contemporary culture.
The cast also includes Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders), Denis Conway (Wallenstein), Will Irvine (Lady Chatterley's Lover), Brian Martin (Boudica), Daryl McCormack (Othello), Julian Moore-Cook (Mother Courage and Her Children) and Chris Walley (Young Offenders)
Directed by MGC Artistic Director Michael Grandage, The Lieutenant of Inishmore follows his award-winning production of Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan in 2013.
