British comedy writer, actor and comedian Adam Kay comes to London's Vaudeville Theatre to share his This is Going to Hurt (Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor).
Adam Kay, who started his career in medicine has had 6 years of sell-out shows at Edinburgh Festival Fringe as well as sell-out national UK tours.
While a junior doctor Adam kept a journal, suggested as a reflective exercise where he could record cases of note. In response to government criticism of junior doctors, Kay collated his journals together into a book, This is Going to Hurt which later became a Sunday Times bestseller.
This is Going to Hurt (Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor) is a comedic treatment of a serious topic. It details the triumphs and tragedies of Kay’s time as a Junior Doctor, the reasons he stayed and ultimately, the reason he left.
