Betrayal

The Harold Pinter Theatre, London, SW1Y 4DN
  • Golden Globe and Olivier Award winner Tom Hiddleston stars alongside Zawe Ashton and Charlie Cox in the Jamie Lloyd Company’s revival of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, opening at London’s Harold Pinter Theatre for a strictly limited 12-week season from 5 March 2019.
With poetic precision, rich humour and an extraordinary emotional force, Betrayal charts a compelling seven-year romance, thrillingly captured in reverse chronological order. Described as 'the greatest, and the most moving, of all Pinter’s plays' (Daily Telegraph), this production marks the culmination of the Jamie Lloyd Company’s ground-breaking Pinter at the Pinter season.
Betrayal was first produced at the National Theatre in 1978, directed by Peter Hall starring Penelope Wilton, Michael Gambon and Daniel Massey. It was also directed by Trevor Nunn at the Almeida Theatre in 1991, with a cast including Bill Nighy, Martin Shaw and Cheryl Campbell.
The play was last seen in the West End at the Comedy Theatre (later renamed the Harold Pinter Theatre in the playwright’s honour) in 2011. Ian Rickson’s production of Betrayal starred Kristin Scott Thomas, Douglas Henshall and Ben Miles.
At the Harold Pinter Theatre until 8 June 2019, book your Betrayal tickets today!
