  • Lazarus, the musical by David Bowie and Enda Walsh, is now playing a limited season London's King's Cross Theatre.
Inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell To Earth by Walter Tevis, Lazarus focuses on Thomas Newton, as he remains still on Earth - a 'man' unable to die, his head soaked in cheap gin and haunted by a past love. We follow Newton during the course of a few days where the arrival of another lost soul - might set him finally free.
Reprising their roles from the original New York production are Michael C. Hall (Thomas Newton), Michael Esper (Valentine) and Sophia Anne Caruso (Girl). Also featuring Amy Lennox, star of West End smash Kinky Boots.
Lazarus includes songs which have been especially composed for the production by David Bowie, as well as new arrangements of previously recorded songs.
“Wild, fantastical, eye-popping. A surrealistic tour de force.” – Rolling Stone
With direction by Ivo Van Hove and designs by Jan Versweyveld, Lazarus is produced by Robert Fox and Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment by arrangement with Tristan Baker and Oliver Royds.
