  • Based on the Academy Award-winning film, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE is a gloriously romantic comedy of errors.
Young Will Shakespeare has writer's block... the deadline for his new play is fast approaching but he's in desperate need of inspiration.
That is, until he finds his muse – Viola. This beautiful young woman is Will's greatest admirer and will stop at nothing (including breaking the law) to appear in his next play.
Against a bustling background of mistaken identity, ruthless scheming and backstage theatrics, Will's love for Viola quickly blossoms and inspires him to write his greatest masterpiece.
Orlando James and Eve Ponsonby lead the cast in the roles of Will Shakespeare and Viola De Lesseps. Joining them is Nicholas Asbury (Wessex), Neal Barry (Henslowe), Richard Bremmer (Tilney and Sir Robert De Lesseps), Suzanne Burden (Queen Elizabeth), Ryan Donaldson (Ned Alleyn), Edward Franklin (Marlowe), Gregg Lowe (Sam), Andy McKeane (Ralph), Peter Moreton (Burbage) and Joy Richardson (Nurse). The cast are joined by a new ensemble, with Charlie Tighe continuing in his role as Nol alongside the much-loved Barney who plays Spot the Dog.
