Men in Motion returns to the London Coliseum for two nights only in November 2017.
Devised by Ivan Putrov and first presented at Sadlers Wells, it is a thrilling exploration of the history of the male dancer over the last century and a celebration of some of the most exciting artists at work today.
Legendary dancer Irek Mukhamedov is joined by Men in Motion regulars Daniel Proietto (Norwegian National Ballet), Marian Walter (Berlin State Ballet), Giovanni Princic (Dutch National Ballet), Timofej Andrijashenko (La Scala) and Matthew Ball (Royal Ballet), as well as new recruits Anton Lukovin (English National Ballet) and Mathieu Ganio (Paris Opera Ballet). They will be joined by a sole ballerina - Francesca Hayward (Royal Ballet).
Featuring choreography from Fokine and Nureyev to Christopher Bruce and Russell Maliphant and a new work by Arthur Pita.
Ivan Putrov will dance the role made famous by Nijinsky in Fokine’s Le Spectre de la Rose with Francesca Hayward as the young girl. Daniel Proietto creates a new work entitled The Mockracy and reprises his role in Russell Maliphant’s much-loved Afterlight (Part One) inspired by Nijinsky’s drawings, while Matthew Ball will dance with Ivan Putrov in a new duet by Ludovic Ondiviela. Marian Walter and Timofej Andrijashenko will dance the pas de deux from Roland Petit’s Proust.

The programme also features a new creation by Arthur Pita, creator of 'Metamorphosis', created for the legendary Irek Mukhamedov.
