The Wizard Of Oz - Film with Live Orchestra

London Palladium, London, W1V 1AD
  • It is a movie that has touched millions around the world and has become one of the most iconic films in history. The 1939 major motion picture The Wizard of Oz takes over the London Palladium on Friday 13 April 2018, accompanied by a 60 piece orchestra, bringing to life the Oscar™ winning score like never before.
Starring Judy Garland as Dorothy, the little girl who found herself very far from home, the film is illustrated by Harold Arlen’s mesmerising songs, which have become standards of The Great American Songbook.
An icon of American popular culture, the film is notable for its use of Technicolour, fantasy storytelling, unusual characters and of course, its musical score.
Featuring the Oscar™ winning original song, Over the Rainbow, the legacy of the film cannot be overstressed, with the film being one of the very few to feature on UNESCO’s Memory of the World register.
